Given Chevrolet’s high-quality vehicles that prioritize technology, performance, and safety, it is no surprise that the brand has taken home a number of major awards—but even more impressive, Chevrolet tends to claim more than rival car brands like Ford and Toyota. In fact, Chevrolet was J.D. Power’s most awarded brand of 2017.
Specifically, six Chevrolet models earned a total of nine awards from J.D. Power in 2017, across J.D. Power’s three major studies: Vehicle Dependability, Initial Quality, and APEAL.
“These awards highlight the automotive brands that are continually exceeding customer expectations and leading the way in terms of dependability, quality and overall customer satisfaction,” J.D. Power explains.
The four Chevy vehicles to earn a Vehicle Dependability Study award in 2017 included the Chevrolet Sonic, Camaro, Tahoe, and Silverado HD—these were based on the 2014 models, as this study looks at the quality of vehicles after three years on the road.
In the Initial Quality Study, the Silverado, Silverado HD, and Sonic each claimed an award for their quality within the first 90 days of vehicle ownership.
Finally, the APEAL Study (Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout Study) gave awards to the electric Chevrolet Bolt and the Chevrolet Tahoe.
Getting more awards than any other brand, including major competitors like Ford and Toyota, is no small feat. Check out Chevrolet’s excellent lineup for yourself at Bill Crispin Chevrolet!
