Getting an Amazon package on your front door step can sometimes make it feel like the holidays have come early. If you don’t want to risk leaving the package sitting out on your door step, though, what do you do? Well, it looks like Chevrolet and Amazon have solved that issue with the Amazon Key In-Car Delivery service option.
Earlier this month, General Motors announced that seven million eligible Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, and Cadillac owners in the United States can now have their Amazon packages sent directly into their vehicle.

Specifically for Amazon Prime members, this new in-car delivery option will allow people to choose to have their packages delivered to their vehicle when it’s parked in a publicly accessible area. That includes on the street, in a workplace parking lot, or in your driveway at home. To use this feature, all you have to do is download the Amazon key app and link your Amazon and OnStar accounts.
When this is finished, you can select the “In-Car” delivery option at checkout on Amazon.com. Then, you will receive a notification when your delivery is on the way, along with when the deliver is completed and your vehicle is relocked.
Currently, you can use this service if you’re an Amazon Prime customer with an active OnStar® account. It’s available in 37 cities across the U.S. with more cities to follow.
Of course, you’ll need a qualifying vehicle to take advantage of this incredible service. For that, head over to Bill Crispin Chevrolet!
